Aside from Wallmart Iowa is a sea of corn, much like Nebraska. Its very green dotted with some picturesque old barns and silos for days. Definately coffee table book material here.

We also took a detour to Grinnell College at about 10 AM. This was Sunday remember and the sidewalks were silent. We may have seen 10 living bodies in the hour or so that we were in and around campus.

Its a beautiful campus though, very clean with a wide variety of architecture. A church on every corner yet no sign that anyone was in them. Kinda weird. We wondered at one point if we were on the set of that Jim Carey movie.
