Dietary delights

Let's talk food. So today was very special indeed. Breakfast in a southern farm house restaurant and then a delicious fresh fruit and beer basket here at the hotel to enjoy compliments of Jim. Highly unusual.

For example yesterday I had a half bag of cheesy doodles spread over about 10 hrs, a sugarless Rockstar, several waters and a couple of cans of diet cherry Dr. Pepers. Do you think perhaps there is a corelation between my dietary intake and the falling asleep at the wheel phenom?

Alec and Liz had: BBQ pork rinds (we have developed a hankering for these fatty salty things, I have no idea why) and several cans of spaghetti Os. Oh, and water of course. ....and Lizzi confesses a Monster, maybe two. YIKES! Sadly, this is pretty much the norm.

Our problem is this. We buy fresh veggies and fruit but then are too hot, sweaty, tired, busy to actually cook any of it. So it sits in the van, rots and I throw it away. I told you earlier about the tri-tip fiasco, well Delawares organic corn, green beans and tomatoes came to similar ends. Actually Lizzi and I did share a tomatoe one morning for breakfast. Ultimately, it is the canned food that fairs best. We do have colliard greens in a can though; we found a yummy brand that we can eat cold and it is at least...well...green!
