After the Warped shut down last night the girls and I couldn't decide whether or not to head out early or stick around for the party. Since St. Petersberg was followed by a day off we thought that the party might be worth sticking around for. We hung in the van for awhile and actually fell asleep. Our widows were wide open and we awoke to one of the security guys asking us to move so that a tour bus would be able to leave. This is about the 3rd time that some staff member has had to wake us up; its kinda a pattern.

So we moved and now awake decided to check out the party. It was 11:30. Prior it had down poured again and we were absolutely drenched to the bone, but by midnight the wind was blowing hard but it was clear starry skies over water. Beautiful. But weirdly the party was mellow. We did enjoy petting Lola though, a big furry bear of a dog who appeared from some bus. By 1 or so we were ready to leave.

Despite the nap, I didn't last long behind the wheel. I can't decide about this; I have never really been someone who gets sleepy while driving yet a pattern is developing where I drive for a while and then literally can't keep my eyes open and have to pull over. I think I even start going in to a dream state, its sort of alarming actually. So about 3 after I had dreamed something about a call box, I pulled in to a rest stop. I don't know why, but I parked on the semi side; guess I just like sleeping with the big guys. :-) In any case, sleep I did. Its crazy how I am developing an ability to fall fast alseep in the drivers seat. We awoke about 6:00 AM having slept a lot longer than intended.
