While we were enjoying Warped today, Alec was jittery knowing that The Academy Is was performing only 30 miles away at Six Flags so around 330 she decided we should leave Oceanport and spend the money to see her Make A Wish "brother" William Beckett.
The drive was really easy, no traffic at all. We arrived in plenty of time and were excited about our decision but when we went to purchase our tickets to the show the attendant had a funny look on her face. "Concert?" she puzzled. As it turned out Alec's WB circadiam rhythms were off by exactly 24 hrs. The concert is tomorrow night! Good times... Decision time; return to Oceanport for the remainder of the show/evening or head south towards Virginia Beach. We had already determined with 4 affirmative votes from the Warped staff that we should skip Boston and take an extra day to enjoy the beaches and maybe even DC. The drive from NJ to Boston wasn't bad, about 5 hours, but the return drive from Mass to Virginia would have been about 10.
We headed south on 95 which takes you through Phili so I decided it was break time. We saw Independence Hall, Kimel Center (where Alec danced in the Irish Dance Worlds last April) U Penn, Drexel University and a few other asides. Phili is a beautiful city.
